National Police Check
For those who, as part of their voluntary role, will have contact with Children, Young People and/or at Risk Adults, a National Police Check Certificate valid within three years is also required. Once you have completed your check, you receive a certificate which should be sent into the parish office.

Safeguarding Essentials Training Module
Every registered volunteer with Star of the Sea Parish is expected to complete yearly online training via the Safetrac portal. Volunteers are provided with the relevant information to complete the training as part of their induction. This training is coordinated by the Diocesan Professional Standards Office.
