St. Brendan Parish is an accredited member of the Australia-wide network of Earthcare parishes.  Several parishes within the Sandhurst Diocese are part of this network. All Earthcare groups in Australia operate under the umbrella of Caritas Australia. 

The following seven Laudato Si’ Goals inform the ministry and activity of the committee: Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor, Ecological Economics, Sustainable Lifestyles, Ecological Education, Ecological Spirituality, Community Engagement.

Actions undertaken by the committee include Accreditation, St. Brendan’s Parish Earthcare Audit and Action plan, Laudate Deum Reading Circle, Season of Creation activity, Acknowledgement of First Nation peoples, Laudato Si’ retreat, participation in Thresholds of Transformation.

We meet on the third Thursday of each month at 4 pm in the Pastoral Centre behind the church.
